COMPETITION: Win two tickets to Eastern Promise at Platform.

This week on The Afternoon Show with Stuart James we have a chance for you to win a pair of tickets to Eastern Promise - a two day event with a stellar line up.

The event takes place at Platform, in Glasgow's East End, on Friday 18th September and Saturday 19th September.  Each day boasts a line up of eclectic, and essential live music across two rooms.

Friday 18th September

Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat - The Most Important Place In The World, their second full-length collaboration, was released earlier this year and rightly lauded as a career high for both musicians.  Platform is hiring a grand piano for a performance guaranteed to bedazzle and bewitch.
Euros Childs
– the former Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci frontman and one half of Jonny alongside Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub.
Supermoon
– aka Neil Pennycook, formerly of Edinburgh lo-fi folk troupe Meursault and now blazing a primal trail of his own.
Duncan Marquiss
– a much-anticipated solo performance from the Phantom Band guitarist and acclaimed artist/filmmaker.
Dean McPhee
– a phenomenally gifted solo electric guitarist from West Yorkshire whose recent album, Fatima’s Hand, came out in May.

Saturday 19th September

Golden Teacher
- Glasgow-based collective whose free spirit and addictive beats have been branded by the Optimo crew “hypno-psych voodoo groove”.
Blood Sport
– Sheffield trio fusing afrobeat with noise in a rhythmic riot of spaced-out jams.
Richard Dawson
– prolific Newcastle guitarist and singer whose recent album Nothing Important – on Domino’s Weird World imprint – drew fulsome praise upon its release in November 2014.
Asiq Nargile
– singer and saz (long-neck lute) player from Tbilisi, Georgia. Nargile is one of the world’s leading exponents of Azerbaijani folk music.
Bossy Love
– electro-pop with panache from a Glasgow boy-girl duo hooked on Prince, Robyn and party music.
